When you trade lane is interrupted..you got hacked!
To mine..simply go out to the debris fields and start shooting stuff...( have the scan for loot icon activated ) sometimes you will notice on your radar screen scap metal floating around as a result of you blasting the metal. Highlight it and tractor it into your ship. It will be in your cargo.
