yeah that shield is great and all but if u notice the regeneration rate of that shield sucks u know what i think i will jus stick with the adv brigidaine shield if u know what i mean

There's a damn good level 10 shield available on malta (outcast). And, to top it off it's a graviton shield too..not those positron or molecular POS's.

I didn't see any class 10 shields on Malta other than the boring ol' positron. Maybe it's another Outcast planet? I'm going to check after I get back from work.

scarface: All NPC shields have a regeneration rate of 1, that's why they never regain any shields, while players do. There may be a player-ownable version of this shield though that does have a regeneration rate above 1.

erm dont know about you but i think molecular shields are way better then graviton

found a class 10 mol shield but fark if i know wherei picked it up from ...

Anyone who tells you that he has bought a Class 10 Graviton or Molecular shield is either lying outright, or has modded his game. I've decompressed and grepped through the market_misc.ini file which controls the vending of equipment: Which items are sold where. Nowhere in the game is a molecular shield of greater than Class 9, or a graviton shield of greater than class 7, sold.

5 places in the game sell the L10 positron, however, and two places sell the L9 molecular. 6 places sell the L7 Graviton. Zero places sell anything better. Furthermore, I have never had a shield drop from a destroyed ship, nor have I ever popped one off a wreck I found in space, so it's pretty safe to conclude that, either due to a bug or oversight, these items do not exist in the game in a form that can be used by players.

Nobody has yet confirmed that these items can be found in a reproducible manner.

oh well im still happy with my l33t L10 positron shield.

That's the shield mounted on an NPC. It doesn't appear anywhere in the actual game that a player can get without a mod.

I own a Class 8 positron shield for the very heavy fighter (full version game) I am still looking for the class 9 and class 10 any ideas?

on Planet crate in Omicorn gamma is a level 10 gravitation shield. you must go to the sirius sector there from omega 7 to omega 11 then to omega 41 an than to omicorn gamma.
