The secret hyper drive?

I have read about a secret alien hyper-drive that can be found..

Do you know about this item, I under stand it's way out in deeep space and is very hard to find? Using it ends the need for jump gates..

Quick everyone find it and post the location here so that it becomes standard equipment in MP servers!

I remember playing Solar Winds back in the day, receiving the hyper drive was better than napkins made of sliced bread.

I thought there was some secret alien tech opbects that were part of the secret story parts players had to discover.... might be one of these.

There is things you can discover (though it wasn't actually said except for YEARS ago) but not a hyper drive, I don't believe.

I doubt there is such a thing. Jorg had a pretty straight face goin when he said that jumpgates and jumpholes were the only ways of travelling between systems.

i still like the idea of making your own jump points.. but my guess that if there is such a thing at all. it will be sp only, and be awarded to you after you have completely dominated the game. say, all story completed... 100,000,000 cash etc.
either that or it would be cheat activated.
