As most strategists know, you also have to take factors like the enviroment into the equation. For example, if you were fighting in a radiation field, An Eagle would lose due to it's poor hull , A Sabre would last half-way , and a Titan would win the endurance race.
In open space however the Eagle would be able to use it's turning speed to the maximum and with the home advantage would probably win against a Titan, due to the Titans poor turning speed. It would have around a 50% chance of winning against a Sabre because the Sabre has a medium turning speed, but a more powerful arsenel.
If ambushing an enemy in a Sensor-Proof, Low-Visibility dust cloud, the Titan, with it's powerful arsenal could destroy a ship before the other ship could detect the Titan's Position. Also, if in this situation, most people would charge straight towards the Titan, giving it more time to bring it's arsenal to bear, killing themselves without knowing it was their own fault.
Also, people forget there may be other enemy ships about in the area, and with one PK and 5 low-level CPU's, People will USUALLY go for the AI ship's so they can get back to the battle without any distractions bothering them. Ever turned your back on an enemy Titan?. It's a bad move, giving them a chance to a) Fire on your ship OR b)Escape for repairs to a local base, and come back to kill you in your weakened ship.
Please take these factors I have shown you into account when chosing the "best ship" because, in my opinion, there is none.
