unknown object in Tau-37 star

what is the unknown object in the star in Tau-37, and is it possible to get there without dying? and is it true that there is a star in one of the unknown systems that will not kill you?

You can look up the Tau-37 object in some of the spoiler forum posts. IIRC, it is an object that serves as a center point for some of the rings in the system. Looking closely, it is actually a cargo container. There is no way to get there alive without modding.

I'm away from freelancer for awhile so i can't check it out. But what happens if you shoot it? The longest weapon range is 3.0k ( the hornet cruise disrupter). It might be able to reach.

J Dawg is absolutely right. The object is, in essence, the rings themselves. If you get far enough away and look at them, you'll see that it's exactly in the centre. Nothing interesting or worthwhile.
