Opponents that Pose the Greatest Threat.

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Opponents that Pose the Greatest Threat.

In your opinion, which opponents pose the greatest threat to a player of proportional skill and level (don't compare Omicron Alpha Sabres with newbies in starfliers). I find the large Omicron Aplha Outcast spawns (which generate following entry to the system via Tau-37 or Omicron Beta) to be rather difficult, and Nomads may potentially be devastating, if unanticipated tribulations arise when engaing in evasive action, though otherwise they aren't excessivley difficult. Hessians are also a nuisance, but only in mabushes (multiple laser utterly devastate stationary targets). However, I would presume that the GMG and their superb Skyblasts would be a threat of magnitudes surperior to that of the Hessians or even the Outcasts.

Aside from spawnkills, no faction is really dangerous. As a matter of fact, you can travel in hostile Nomads or Outcasts space with nothing more than your standard Starflier.

As long as you don't get cruise disrupted? Two to three random stray shots on a starflier and it blows up.

Avoiding cruise disruptors is very simple. Just engine kill whenever a hostile shows up on your radar and coast to safety. You still go just as fast but they can't shoot at you, provided you engine kill in time before they launch.

In early game (Liberty Space), I'd say the Outcasts and the Hackers pose the biggest threat because they use Dagger ships which are just the best you can get while in Liberty. This is especially true near the NY - Texas (and vice-versa) jump gates where you tipically find a lot of Outcasts. The Texas debris fields and the Badlands are also bad places to be.

When you get to Bretonia, I'd say Corsairs are the biggest pain, because they use Legionnaire ships which once more are rather potent.

In Kusari Space, it's not so bad, though I wouldn't get on the Dragon's bad side.

And in Rheinland, I'd say the Unioners and Red Hessians pose the biggest threat, they seem to be everywhere plus they are pretty powerful.

Though, then again, once you get a level 9-10 ship everything becomes rather easy in the SP game. Only systems that can pose a moderate challenge are the Omicrons, Omega-41, Omega-5 and Tau-37.

That's it.

if youre a afterburner happy pilot,(Guilty), then nothing is too hard if you launch mines a lot. But the hardets enemies are, to me, the bounty hunters when youre in omicron space, cause they got wepons best against positron sheilds

Yeah, the outcasts are a major threat early in the game. Ha, I remeber when I could only afford 8 packs of light arms to ship to the Sugarland! I perfected making a mad dash to the tradelane from the jumpgate while avoiding their "Devastating" tachyon bolts.
(Actually, the ARE pretty good!)

Hmm... Early game, It's definately the LPI. Bretonia, would be... I think, BHG/Corsairs. BHG mainly because they jump you anywhere, and when you're between Mollys, Corsairs, and Gaians at the same time, the BHG like to drop by. In Kusari, I always stayed Neutral with the GC and Blood Dragons, which sometimes got me in trouble with Samura, Kishiro, etc... Gettin mobbed by the Police, Corporations, AND Navy at the same time is not that fun. In Rheinland, Daumann is the worst possible opponent. They are allied with absolutely everyone... Which kinda sucks. End Game, it would be the GMG in Eagles, with their Skyblast B photon cannons, cause of their maneuverability. Corsairs are pretty easy once you get a ship that can handle a few hits. I fear a Legionnaire more than a Titan actually, cause once that Legionnaire gets behind you, he'll be pumping shots into your backside like crazy. Titans are the exact opposite.
