FIxing the Paralyzer Missle Bug

FOr those of you who are looking for the EMP Paralyzer missle, don't bother. The missle doeesnt exits thanks to a coding bug (is this in the right forum, or should this be moved to spoilers, I'm not sure) which prevemts the launcher from existing (otherwise it would appear on Planets Crete and Malta, and maybe some other bases, as well as on certain wrecks). It can be fixed via the ini.files, which can be found in the spoiler forum, I belive under the stickied (and locked) all spoilers topic. Unfortunetly, this doesn't work with my in.files because the mechanics are completely differnet. Has anyone found a proper way to fix the Paralyzer error?

Any weapon can be added to a modded game and be made for sell on what ever base you want, and even set the price. Best help for this type of thing is in the Genereal editing forum, or the begginiers forum.

Try downloading the SDK 1.3 or 1.5 these are uncompressed ini files that replace the origional ones.They can be editted with any text editor,which makes modding alot easier (if you know what you doing).:p

They also fix a hell of alot of errors that were missed in the origionals.

*edit* I've just checked the SDK1.3 ini files & it looks like the paralyzer & the neutralizer missiles can't be bought any where.I don't have the 1.5 just incase it interferes with the mod I'm working on.Looks like it back to the editting forums for me again.

The neutralizer is available,I was into much of a hurry that I missed both of it's entrys.

If anyone want to know how to get the Paralyzer missile then post here & I will post a How to for editting the one file needed.

it's not that the missle is missing; its the launcher. They messed up the design and when you blow up the wreck, the launcher is on that wing...

I haven't checked the .ini files - does the XML toolkit implement the Paralyzer launcher?

Hmm I do know in the Evolutions mod we have that launcher for sale. Also when you hit the wrecks that have it, they kick it out pretty easy, and don't explode. If you get a chance you might ask Chips and crew how they did it...

on my server we can't buy them but the wrecks and some AI drop them.Not sure how...but in a vanilla game how much use are they?As a person who uses missles they don't hit as often as u'd like..surely in Vanilla Trizona's and Debillators (sp?) are the better option

I used Paralyzers in Evolutions, and they're really really good. They hit a lot and take down a maxed out VHF's shields to about 10-20%, and this is with a mod that has better shields available than vanilla. The only disadvantages are that they take up a class 10 slot and the ammo is expensive.
