The nomads will come out both in the Gamma and Alpha systems by the Unkown Jumpholes. That is why both factions have so many 'dead' ships there that have died defending the home area to alien ships.

Actually, I belive that nomads only appear in Omicron Gamma when you re-emrge from the unknown jumphole (ships will automatically spwan around every non-scripted jumphole/gate you enter, I believe). Otherwise, I know of no true nomad presence in that particular system, or omicron alpha, for that matter (though I am not precisley sure). Don't be so freake dout by 'em either. Just get an Eagle, a class 10 shield, some class 10 and 9 weps, an ur all set for nomad-hunting season!

No, they appear where ever there is a jumphole that leads to an Unknown system.

Yes I have been to the unknown system and you can kill the nomads with a good ship (titan). There are 2 planets (that I know of).

Primus- infested by talking monkeys !
Gamma- infested by robots !

Note: They do not appear on your reputation and so you can't become friends your just neutral and you can't buy from them or get jobs.

I onl;y find Nomads in Omicrin Gamma when i emerge from the Unknown jumphole, have never found them otherwise. Im friendly with every faction in omciron Gamma, and when I check the political map, I find no red whatsoever.
Also, The corsiars arent defending aginst the aliens, its a trial in which they have to accquire artifacts from the cloud w/ no shield and minimal ship capabilties. SOme are kille dby nomads are radiaton, apparently. The Outcasts have a tomb surronding their Unknown Jumphole, not a battlefield, either.
