Concerning Hidden Wrecks...

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Concerning Hidden Wrecks...

I'm not quite a newbie to the game (gone around, blown stuff up, got the t-shirt and the Hammerhead) but I still haven't had it for very long and every now and then a question pops up that baffles me. I was hoping someone could help me out.

So I read on Lancers Reactor here about these 'Hidden Wrecks'. I see one particularly enticing one, that being the Flint (New York 6C) which the guide here claims has a cargo of Cardamine. Since Manhattan is willing to pay top dollar for a little pharmaceutically-enduced ecstasy, I thought I would hunt it down and see what I could pull up from it.

So I find the Flint in the badlands, surrounded by Rogues. But while the Flint has a health bar, I blast it to pieces and it doesn't explode...it just slowly regenerates, like a trade lane ring. And it doesn't discharge its delicious cargo, if the Cardamine is even there (since I can't scan the Flint, I have no idea).

My questions are thus: is there some dark secret to gaining the little cargo-gems these Hidden Wrecks carry that is evading me? Or are the wrecks monitored by the server and only cough up their cargo once...ever?

Oh, and I play on an unmodified v1.0 multiplayer server, if that matters.

Any help is appreciated!

You've got your answer. In multiplayer, it means somebody beat you to it. As it happens, the Flint is the one everybody knows about and goes for first. (Also one of the richest to loot!) Better look for some other wrecks and hope you are the first to get to them.

Whoops, sorry, I should have thought about the spoiler part of my post before, er, posting.

Thanks for the answer, guys. I suspected that was what it was, but wanted to be certain.

To check if the wrecks are looted, double click the name of the wreck on your list of targets.
