All friends or all enemies?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

All friends or all enemies?

I just wonder if it's possible to turn all the groups into friends or enemies. I have seen a save file on gamewinners.com and it has friendly term with all groups, but it seems almost impossible to do that. Have anybody tried that?

I don't think there's any way to be friendly with all factions without fiddling with some of the .ini files. It is possible (but difficult) to be roughly neutral with all factions though. Getting everyone to hate you is easy. Just shoot everyone and everything.

Oh, and welcome.

Ioncross Char Editor can set all that way, regaurdless of where you are in the game. Create a save, exit the game and open the editer. Click on you save game name and open, click on Locations and Factions near the bottom is a slider for"all Factions" slide friends or enemys then click save chnges and close. Return to save game and enjoy.

Thank you, guys! I am thinking about turn everybody into enemy and see if I can still survive.

Probably yes. A better challenge would be exploring the Omicrons in a Starflier (or some other relatively low-level ship).

If he's hostile to EVERYONE, I think it's plenty challenging. Without the ability to dock and repair anywhere, eventually you'll start to lose chunks off your ship. Nanobots only do so much.

If you had all enemies, can you even save your game?

Pick you one faction and stay friends with them for a base. But, the theroy as well, is, iff you shoot police, navy, the outcasts and so forth will slowly become your friends.

Well, there is a way to save your game while hostile with every single faction. Two ways, in fact:

Primus and Gammu.

Unless someone has finally found a way to piss those guys off, it's doable- as long as you don't mind running through Nomad-land every time you want to go somewhere.

Actually, that would be pretty cool to try- if you're hostile with everyone, you'd have to live off salvage, piracy would be useless, as would mining and trading. Any equipment/ammo loss would need to come out of wrecks/salvage, so if you decided to use ammo weapons at all, they would have to be commonly used by AIs. I think that's gonna have to be my next gig...

Aren't Primus and Gammu Samura bases? At least one of the planets shows up like that.

Post Wed Oct 13, 2004 11:36 pm

The planets themself are but the docking rings not and you can still dock with them if the planet shows up hostile

Post Thu Oct 14, 2004 5:54 am

Also, it is possible to dock with a hostile faction's station/planet- If, and only if, you initiate the docking sequence BEFORE the faction becomes hostile. So if you have a borderline neutral faction and can blast a nearby transport with a turret while you dock, you can cause a faction to become hostile before you land.

Its actually impossible to be friendly or enemy to everyone because by killing anyone, others rep will improve to you - getting you back to neutral with them. Being freindly with everyone is also impossible because, even with rep hacks, you rep with other will go down.
