My God!!!?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

OK, you need to know a few things:

1) TLR doesn't like caps in the subject line. You can edit it by pressing the button.

2) This is on the verge of being a spoiler. The video isn't a spoiler, because it's not actually in the game, but mentioning Nomads is. If we could get a mod to move this topic?

3) Freelancer has two intro movies. The seven minute one, featuring the destruction of Sol was removed because it revealed FL's major plot device early. Plus it was too long anyway. So they replaced it with a concise version, simply omitting everything after the sleeper ships launched.

could someone send me a link to the video? i look for it and didn't find it!

Nobody really knows if the solar system got whacked. It's from an early version of the game, not the final one that was released. It may or may not have happened. But since we are in the Sirius System 800 years later, we have no way of knowing!

One problem I have with the Nomads blowing apart our "old home" is that they were not supposed to have been released from their habitat until shortly before the game begins. (Can't say more -- bordering on a spoiler already.) So how could they have been on the loose in the 23rd Century? That may well be the reason Digital Anvil dropped the original intro.

Sorry, i fixed the caps, and i don't think its a spoiler, cause under the picture, which anyone can look at it said Nomad ship, so i havn't stated anymore than teh picture really has. ALso, do you have a link or something to where i can see the 7 minute video, i'm very interrested.

I agree with you, not only does it not make to much sense, i also think that it seems to much like luck for that to happen right after the sleeperships leave. Doesn't it? Seems to unlikely considering the distance between Sol and Sirus. I hope the didn't toast earth!

A spoiler, in Freelancer case, is revealing a part of the story that can only be found out, playing the game and it Spoils the game for those that have not played it as yet. There is a forum that you can discuss any spoiler you want, ie The Spoiler Foum.

Why does everyone keep bringing up this movie!?
Like Darkstone said, it was DROPPED during production. Therefore, it is not part of the game IN ANY WAY! If it wasn't in the fianl version of FL, then it never happened!

I still think it was better than what was released and it wouldn't have spoilt the main storyline for me anyway. it's a work of true quality, clearly displaying Chris Roberts' hand. The man has a real talent for cinematic intros.
