If you're after pure battles and loot, get the Rebalance mod and dock/launch from Malta/Crete. Massive cap ship battles, and TONS of loot afterwards. Not strictly what you were asking, I expect, but something to bear in mind.

Another thing you could do, Captain is go to Omega-7 I believe, which ever system has the red giant and park yourself outside the Red Hessian base, and blast every ship that comes out, they also have patrols that will come in and try to stop you plus the base has weapons platforms around it. Might be a greater challenge for you.

Parking just above the middle section of Manhattans Docking Ring is a nice way to do it. As long as you've got a good shield yuo won't take too much damage, and there aren't any station turrets firing at you.

Rochester where Launching Junkers drop Cardamine/Gold/Nobium/Alien Atifacts eventually and some docking rouges have simmilar cargo.

Or if with someone else thats flying the Drom and your in a VHF, then TAU 23 at the BMM base, Trains etc drop lots of goodies that can be sold in that base.

I like the CA Hole in Cortez. Loot there varies & usually just zip to Cortez to sell. However, there are times when Mulies drop Card or other loot that can be sold in CA Sys. There are even times when BH join the fray. They don't have loot but their bang-bang is more that can be sold. In a max ship there is a modicum of challenge when a lot show up.

It is hard to fly with turkeys when you soar with eagles.

Freeport 1 in Omega 3 is always a ncie plzce to shoot up some trains. And best of all the station won't go hostile to you for doing it. Gotta love those zoners, sit back and let you kill the transports and then pay you to deliver the same goods you just stole right in front fo thier base.
