Masters of the Nomads

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Masters of the Nomads

If you remember in the story line. The nomads are not the most powerful aliens encountered. In the SP game, you find a powerful alien civilization constructed a huge network of jump lines all over the galaxy to maintain their empire. This alien civilization also made the Nomads, and gave them some of their technology to help oversee the empire. Unfortunately, the Nomads had other plans so they began harassing the people living in Sirius Sector hoping to establish their own empire. As you know, the people found a way to defeat the Nomads by activating the huge jump network established by the Masters. I'm curious to know if they plan to bring the Masters in the second game, if there is one, and if they will be friendly or hostile. My guess is they will be hostile and way more powerful than even the Nomads. Also I wonder what they will name them. I always liked Hayelons myself. Any speculation on this. Also if I have missed some facts, please let me know so no one gets confused. Its been a while since I played SP in a while.

I doubt they will since the guys who created the Nomads disapeard. It will be good if they bring in something tougher. I wont post the name of the nomad creaters because i have no idea how to spell it.

Even if the creators disappeared, that means they're could be some still around. I really think they should bring some around. Actually, I just had a thought. Why don't they bring something new into the scope. Something so powerful that it requires the colonies efforts to search out the creators and ask for their help. Now as far as the nomads go, they could do something where the Nomads go into hiding for a while or something or have the Nomads ally with the colonies. Its just an idea.

The "Masters" were the Dom Kavash (don't quote me on the spelling) and they were the equivelent of the Roman empire in space with an empire spanning almost a whole galaxy. The Sirius sector as I understand was but a very small part of their empire on their very furthest western frontier. So they went somewhere and left the Nomads to "guard" the Sirius and possibly much more of their former, unexplored empire.

Damn I wish I could venture beyond the Edge Nebula.

Here's a crazy theory I came up with:

No one's sure how long the sleeper ships have been travelling to get to Sirius, right? Maybe the ships were travelling for thousands and thousands of years, and the Dom Kavash are actually humans who descended from the victorious Coalition!

Weird theory, I know, but would put a huge twist on everything if it was true.

nope, watch the original intro movie (not the one that's now in the game). it's somewhere on tlr: it shows us that shortly after the sleeperships were launched a huge nomad ship jumped in our solar system and destroyed the whole system in one blast

I wonder if summarising the SP story line might be considered a spoiler?

I like to think that the Dom Kavash would be friendly. There was a "little" piece of writing I did ages ago, fanfic-esque, set in Sirius but quickly moving elsewhere so I guess it doesn't really count. In it, the Dom Kavash were actually turned on by their caretakers. Thus they would be sympathetic to Sirians.

EDIT: if you want a read, email me

Interesting name, Dom Kavah, lol. I don't think this would be considered a spoiler since all it does it discuss the story surrounding an ancient alien species that's disappeared. Anyway, I still think that they could do something with this alien race since they bothered mentioning it in the game.

Hey, the other intro is irrevelant!
DA dropped it during production. It was never intended to be a part of the story.

For a story about the DK and Nomads, read this fan fic.
For an edited version, download my own Fan Fic Collection. It should be avaliable for download later on today.
