You don't need to do anything, as the story line is now completed you are now free to do whatever you want.

Don't apply mods until you've found as much as you think you can of the game. There are a ton of secret bases, jumpholes, wrecks etc to find that you don't meet in the story.

By all means i would strongly recommend you have a look on this site for some mods, but as darkstone said, have a peek to see if you can find other things. However i still believe you will be able to do this with a mod active, but no doubt you'll be more interested in trying out new ships and weapons

And, if you can't bare to be without the Order for too long, try "The order needs YOU." The osiris will be docked in Sirrius, and you will get to face off against more powerfull nomads, but it will just be more of the same, "kill ships" sort of style. In the mean time, I'd try to get friendly enough with the outcasts to visit Omicron Alpha, you'll find a nifty surprise there. --- VH16

Or, alternately get yourself a high-end VHF (best would be a Titan) and load it up with the best weapons money can buy. Then it won't matter how much the Outcasts hate you. You can explore just about anywhere with impunity. If anyone bothers you, just kill them all and take their stuff.

i disagree dont get a titan get omething that flys like a bird not a dead duck! . me being a Rhienlander would take the valkrye but the eagle (or is it falcon) VHF is better then the titan

What can I say? Anyone can zip around in an Eagle. It takes talent to make a Titan move.

Teh only thing you need to fly a VHF is aiming skillz.

but er, back on topic, i don't understand the part where trent met the diplomat.
