Nice piracy luck

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Nice piracy luck

I was flying through the storyline in my Dagger, and had arrived on Leeds. I had forgotten to buy optronics in advance so I figured I would just fly on to Cambridge anyway hoping to pick something up on the way to boost my nw.
Just into New London system I scan a transport and it's full of diamonds, yoinked and sold on New London for a cool 40k or so. Then I flew on and found a transport full of OPTRONICS docking with CAMBRIDGE, bless that "next mission goal can't be hostile" rule . And all that loot bought my nw over 200K for some nice lvl5 kit drops.

It's always good when people drop just what you're after. I once picked up a load of H-Fuel on the way to Liberty space. Suffice it to say I could afford a detour to Mactan

That almost never happens to me. I usually hang around new tokyo with a freighter and I shoot the boxes on the transports. It's never diamonds, it's usually something worthless like oxygen.

Know how goofy that sounded when you said, quote,

It's usualy something useless like oxygen

But you've gotta think! why is oxygen so worthless in freelancer? shouldn't it sell REALLY high at a space station? or do they have gardens to re-use oxygen? the commodity prices are messed up!

Oxygen is inexpensive because it is easily obtained. Also, Oxygen is everywhere, therefore, oxygen isn't worth much.

Supply and demand. Large supply of the stuff, relativly small demand. Also, I'm sure ethics and House regulations prevent price gouging (who'd vote for a government that taxes them on the air they breathe?). The only flaw in the FL marketplaces is the fact that they are stagnant. It's like the comodity markets of FL have shut down permenantly. Looks like that moment of silence for FP7 mentioned early in the game lasts a hell of a lot longer than a moment. --- VH16

I don't see how government even works in Sirius. Everything is controlled by corporations.

the fact that everythig is controlled by corps is sorta a scary message. i mean look at the 8 richest countrys in the world i can only rmeber usa canada and britan.. but look at all the corps and the power they have. i mean its almost like there the goverment and sometimes goverment and corps go hand in hand. the point is that might be a posible future....

Hay guys. The Corperations own the major chunk of the governments in most countries of our world. So in a long run this games corperations do the same....

This is why the people must launch a mass uprising to sieze both the government and the buisinesses, since the two are too busy looking out for each other at the cost of the masses. --- VH16

No, all they need to do is to spilt up the large corporations like Samura, Dauman, and BMM.
