Level 8 HELP!

I am on Mission 8 Where you must destroy the weapons platforms to high jack that one ship. But whenenver I destroy one of the Weapons Platforms, my Nav map pops up and says that I failed the mission. And I must redue it. Ive tried this mission over and over but I can not seem to beat it. Is there something I am missing?

Look in the Discussion forum, there is a stickied topic called "Levels not going up????" It has links to topics about levels, including the level 8 one.

Does it say why you failed the mission?

I think you're supposed to wait until everything goes hostile to destroy the weapon platforms... the blood dragons just talk about needing to destroy them while you're en route, but when you arrive, you go through that whole, "unidentified fighters, leave or we will open fire" routine and THEN everything turns hostile.

@opensource, they say that? I've never heard that before. Usually I just start firing, and the platforms and ships attack me. Maybe I'll have to see if they say it next time.

I think you run into a wing of Tekagi's fighters that you have to take out first. If you've accidently skipped that part, you would have left the mission area, causing the mission failure. --- VH16
