how do you find other pirate bases?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

how do you find other pirate bases?

I don't want to have to ask on this forum or search this website for the location of pirate bases so within the game how would i go about finding other locations of pirate bases?
also, does my reputation carry over to other groups (not factions, but groups such as the rhinelanders, bretonians, etc...)?

also, what if get tired of the criminal life and want to rejoin the good side what should i do? hmm.. okay that might have been a stupid question. i guess i'd just do the opposite right? (kill pirates so raise my rep with the local police/navy)

To find hidden bases, turn on "Patrol Routes" on your Nav Map, and look for places where several routes meet. That generally means either a base or a jumphole.

Hail them, listen where they came from and look for it in their area.

You'r second question, the groups are so inter-related that eventually your rep carries over (kill republican shipping in Manhatten, and the Rheinland military will eventually want to have a little talk with you), so keep that in mind text time you're out for a little wonton destruction in one house and want to flee to another. And for your third question, you have the right idea but be careful. Police will help you mop up some criminals, but will then turn on you if you're still red with them, so you may be hated by both sides for a while (which equals no landing sites or saving). Easiest way is to find a bribe in a neutral base (zoners or junkers), but the most fun is killing xenos (hated by all). And look for groups that your favorite criminal element and house both hate (like rheinland and the Outcasts both hating the GMG), that way you get to kill a few ships, make a few credits, and make everybody happy (minus you victims, of coarse). --- VH16

I once managed to get so unpopular with all of the "good guys" that even the Zoners wouldn't let me land! Finally managed to find somebody who would bribe my rep with the Zoners again. Good thing, since I had almost nowhere left to go and sell loot!

There's always somewhere to land. Even if everyone hates you, if you focus your energy in one system long enough, eventually a faction on the other side of the sector is gonna get neutral with you. I don't think it's possible (or practical) to maintain everyone hating you. For one thing, the Xenos will like you if you don't kill their ships and two, you can't save since you can't land. There's always a base somewhere. --- Vh16
