best place to attack transports

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Just look around and scan cargo of passing transports. It's very difficult to say what actually passes through a particular area, the chances are it could be almost anything, it's all random. Just use your scanner and go after anything that takes your fancy

Whatever you do, don't go by Manhatten... they only have tiny transports. Kusari is great for this, just hunt down all those Samura and Kishiro Large Trains and boy you're in... Capital Planets (e.g. New Tokyo) and jumpgates to populated systems is the best place to get them.

Now for the method: I developed a nasty way of killing transports that really only requires one kill if you do it right, however it dosen't get all of them.

When a transport is just about at the mooring station, kill them. The little debris that spin off will then collide with other docking transports, killing them and creating more debris! You may have to kill a few, but it certainly is an easy way to kill transports. Note that this works best in Multiplayer, however I have managed it in Singleplayer.

helgoland in sigma 13 is good kill anything kusari based or gmg and the base ships help you with the fighters
plus just pop in and out the base as you just get friendlier with them as you kill thier enemies transports
not all big value cargos but the volume makes up for that and there is no travelling
also the rhinelanders outcasts corsairs hessians all love you for it

What I did right after I got done with the game is I went to the jumpgate to Texas in New York and there's usually a bunch of transports flying through there. Then you can sell the stuff at Buffalo. What I do is I wait to see transports coming then I launch a torp or two at them. It's awesome because I can hear them scream

My favorite place to pirate is in the Magellan system.

I park my Drom (that's right a frieghter) in the middle of one of the trade lanes and disrupt that puppy until a bunch of trains pop out. Pop those trains and tractor in the loot; np in a frieghter with all those guns. If your friendly with the hackers you fly in and out of Mactan and they normally have fighters there anyway so you always have backup/cover fire. You can get some pretty good cargo and it's just a short run back to Mactan to sell it. I use the frieghter for all the guns and to make bigger hauls. I don't worry too much about the selling price of the goods at Mactan because 1.) it's a pirate base so they need everything anyway and 2.) it cost me nothing to get it so what the hell?

I'd say Omega-11 because there are no trade lanes. The Daumann Heavy Transports have to move through open space so you can hit them easily. Of course, you'd better be very friendly with the Hessians since there are lots of them in that system.
