Need help Improving my Rep

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Kill Corsairs and lots of them

Just found a way, go to Tau-29 & Pay 150,000 Credits in a bribe to the zoners...

Better yet, kill Bounty Hunters. That way you'll have a good rep with ALL the criminal elements! Of course, then you can do the whole "Fistful of Dollars" thing by working for the Corsairs AND the Outcasts in Omega-5 (Heh... anyone fancy making yet ANOTHER remake of Akira Kurosawa's samurai epic "Yojimbo", but setting it in space?)

(For the uninformed and/or curious, there have been two movies using the same plot as Yojimbo: "Fistful of Dollars" and "Last Man Standing". All three have the same scene during which the 'hero' is beaten almost to death in a room with a ramp in it... Strange how eventually, screeenwriters fail to be original anymore)

I usually found that knocking off Bounty Hunters annoys the Zoners though, so it's a good idea to land at Freeport-9 and pick up the Eagle before you stomp hunters, otherwise you might not be able to buy it. (Not that I've noticed a rep. requirement for buying ships, but some people here have mentioned such a thing.)

In the past I've bought the Titan, the Dagger and numerous other ships when my rep (with the owners of the place selling it) is only just above hostile, so I don't think there are any rep requirements for buying ships.

And yeah, a bribe is a good way of getting a good rep fast, but it can take a while to find the right one.

Ainu Depot, Hokkaido system. It's run by Outcast allies, the GC, and you can pick up a bribe for them there. If the bartender offers something else, launch and dock again until you get the right one
