Go to arbiter.de for any navigation needs, it's superb. As for not getting killed when you get there, go to Omega 41 and dock at Freeport 5. Check the barman for Corsair bribe. If he doesn't have one, launch and re-dock until he does. Be aware that it may set you back up to $150,000

Kill Red Hessians. Go to Dresden and work for Dauman in missions against the RH's.

Also note do not take Bounty Hunter missions against the RH cos even the corsairs dont like that! Dont ask me why!

Can also go to Verlande Prison & take missions there.

Here is something I have done. Once even a bit neutral go to CADIZ BASE. If neutral enough will get Missions from them that will quickly rectify the situation. If not you can bribe there, usually on the first try. And yes it may be costly if barely neutral. So, if you want to avoid that expense go back to Verlande &/or Dresden and do a few more mission till can take missions from Cadiz.

Cadiz to New London is also a rather profitable trade run {{both ways}} even with a decent fighter.

It is hard to soar with eagles when you fly with turkeys.
