MODS and plugins SUGGESTION???

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

MODS and plugins SUGGESTION???

hi

I already finished freelancer single player 2 times, and now, I want some new things. I saw the mod Lvl 2 Freelancer and it seems great, but what other mods you suggest me to download to make the game different? I dont know, new ships, systems, guns, else.

So, if you have any suggestions for well made mods, please drop me a reply, it would be nice. thx

@trinthakis, welcome to TLR.

There are a lot of mods to choose from. Hostile Univers, a good one, Evolutions, Other ones that just add ships, I am using the Andromida one at this point. You can use them in SP or Open SP. MP is limited to servers that have what you want already on them. Hope this helps.

i personnally like the Rebalance MODs or the new Privateer MOD but it's up to personal choice download some of the big ones and use OPENSP to have a quick look about them then if you like them do the whole SP as it's the best way to get aquianted with the new MOD ships and weps

Well thx guys for ur replies.
I saw on frost-work.com two mods who seemed pretty great. It was new universe mod and freelancer lvl 2. I was wondering if these are great mods, and if we can play both of them at the same time, and also if I can download other great mods than these two when playing them.
P.S.: I play single player.

I play single player all the time and the mods are great for making the game interesting. I have two suggestions for you, one about mods and another about using them.

The best mods are the ones that have been around for a while and have a lot of bugs worked out with them. Among these are rebalance, W T S, TNG, and some others. Always read the comments before downloading. I like rebalance the best because of the many ships available, the new systems, and the ability to change engines and powerplants. You can also travel to new systems early in the game. I'm currently playing WTS 1.3 because it has the Andromeda ship, and the code is well written by experienced modders. However, give the new mods a chance.

The F. L. M. M. mod manager is a great program and you should use it, but doesn't exactly worked as advertised. When you switch between the big mods, make sure you download and use the S D K program. I also make my own backup directories of my saved games.

Here's a hot tip. Finish the regular single player game,unmodded, continue to get lots of money. Buy your favorite weapons and a low level game ship and land on Manhattan. Save your game and notice the time and date that the file was made. It will have the weird name, so check your date, and copy this file from . . . my games/ freelancer/accounts/single player folder to a directory of your choice. Load your new mod with F. L. M. M. you should have no saved games. Start a NEW game and play through the first single player levels. Copy your special saved file into the . . . my games/ freelancer/accounts/ single player folder. Most mods will let you start that game and skip the single player missions. It works with every mod I've tried, but this is for single player. You'll have all of your weapons and money and can go by whatever ship you want. You can also still play from the beginning. Pretty cool.

Get right with God; one day you are going to meet Him.
