Why is there another Tohoku Jumphole??

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Why is there another Tohoku Jumphole??

I know that there's no possibility to get to the Tohoku-System except the Soloplayer-Campaign. But I found another Jumpgate to it in the Hokkaido-System (which you don't visit in the campaign). Now my question: Why did they place another Jumpgate when you can't go through it anyway???
I have no problem with the Alaskasystem because it's an Jumpgate controlled by the Naval Forces and they may not allow me to go through it. But a Jumphole??

Can anyone make sense out of it??

Greetings Limdaepl

nobody knows why it's there. Probably because they wanted to use it in the game but because off timeprobs they cut that part out. You'll find more of that stuff around in sirius as you go along.

Either that or they were just having a laugh, knowing how many people would ask that exact question. I reckon that jumphole might not even have been meant to be locked

I went through the jumphole from Hokkaido--> Tohoku using "Freelancer: A New Beginning." This is not a mod, just a save game file.

Very spooky in there, because you're all alone. Nothing to dock with, no other ships around.

That makes it all the more odd that the jumphole's there. Not only is it never used, it leads to a system which has absolutely nothing to do...

Well, I don't like locked jumpholes anyway because it makes no sense to me. I think if the programmers don't want me to pass through a jumphole they should add unbeatable enemys there.
But fk that. There are enough other jumpholes to pass through... :-)

don't forgot the following jh's also;

- Chugoku -> Sigma-13 (no name, still their)
- Sigma-13 -> Chugoku (no name, still their)
- Sigma-13 -> New Berlin (no name, still their)
- Dublin -> Leeds (has name, still their)
- Leeds -> Dublin (no name, still their)
- New York -> New York (has name, still their)
- New York -> New York (other 1 in the system, not sure iff this has a name and if it is still their)
- Omicron Beta -> Nomad Liar (not sure about this 1, some say it is an other omicron beta, i think it has no name but it's still their)

ow, some systems have also up and down... go to tau-37 and look up and look at the sun with will not kill you (been their multiple times). the 2nd jh in new york system seems to be lower then all other shings in that system (heard that from others)... maybe it is the same with the jh in omicron beta
