Toledo

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Toledo

After the end of the game, how do you get back to Toledo and collect on the promised ship and guns?

Post Mon Apr 26, 2004 10:21 am

You can't. The "promised ship" is the Anubis. The game developers seemed to miss the fact that you could get one much earlier than Toledo, before the Alaska mission even. There are mods which will let you go back to systems like that, but they're not very interesting.

Why would anyone want an Anubis? off the top of my head, the titan, sabre, eagle, hammerhead and centurion are all better. (maybe the stiletto as well)

Well, if you never go far off the beaten path, and deep into the Edge worlds, than an Anubis is one of the better ships to have.

yeah with its big cargo hold for a trade run (70 units) and still have tones of fire power and some ok manoverability and good acceration (cheap too!)

The Anubis still carries the most firepower in its weapon class(6). It also has that coveted 360 degree turret. The weapon arrangement is actually superior to any of the other 4 VHF ships- the weapons converge from all sides of the cockpit, from nearly the same distance. Most other ships seem to have the greatest accuracy when in either a sharp dive or climb, losing accuracy when turning horizontally. The Anubis appears to have no such disadvantage.

The reason you want the annubis is because it's teh best ship abvailable to you for the alter parts of the storyline. And, comenting on weapons placement, I really never noticed that, except for the forward facing turret (which is shared by the sabre and her similar classes). It functions as another gun, so I'm happy. But doesn't the defender have similar placement and advantages, seeing as the annubis is dirived from her? --- VH16

I have finished the storyline and I want to come back to Toledo, not for the ship but the massive jumpgates. Do they work?
I am by now at omicron beta and Toledo should be in omicron minor according to the storyline (I think), but I do not remember how to enter there.
Is this a kind of Eldorado myth? Is it reachable?
Can anyone still following the story line take note how they reach Toledo?

I have read in the forums a couple of smart signatures. High level here!

Toledo is unreachable except with a mod that unlocks some jump holes and jump gates. And anyway the Nomad Dyson Sphere (With the Nomad City) has never been recreated for after-Story use.

SO the Hyper-Gate is hidden forever. Ecept if you do the Story again and again.

The thing that i noticed was the close proxcimity of Tolodo to the Nomad Gate. Dose anybody {besides myself} think that this is a coincidence?

Just a thought................................AZAR

You really want to take another jump hole to another system specially made to hold the hypergate? That'd just be annoying and pointless, and take up more memory. They allready have one "forbidden" system at their disposal, might as well use it. --- VH16
