Help! I need to find a good ship, im a level 8

please help! right now im at the part were the guy on the planet leeds gives you money to go buy a ship and i bought a pretty good one but i want better sheilds and way better gun (i cant mount any of the good guns on the bottom!)

What do you fly? If you don't fly a Crusader, you should get one of those. Available at any Battleship in Bretonia.
