Corsairs and Outcasts

If the corsairs and outcasts are such mortal enemies, then why is it that they never fight directly. Why is it i have never seen a rumble go down between the two biggest crime factions in all of Sirius?

possibilites:

They cant be bothered
Thier ships are too good
Corsairs are afraid to have thier ***s kicked by the outcasts or vice versa
They are too for away to fight directly

have you noticed,,, the hessains in omega 5 have outcast dragoon turrets...

All the people who fly "borderworld" ships, ie.dagger, stilletto, sabre are in league with the Outcasts, that's why they use Outcast weapons.

Anyway, Corsairs and Outcasts are not mortal enemies, it's just that they're in competition with each other, so conflict is inevitable.

@corsair, the "fight" is about a stupid station in sigma-17 (the system with the 3 stars)...

before the station was builded the 2 had a good relation with eachother. if the station is destroyed, both don't attack eachother anymore on sight in the all systems...

outcast don't give a sh*t about hessians, co'z they are in the southern territory (corsair), while outcast is in the northern territory (outcast, lane hackers in magelan (they know about the hackers in galileo, but in galileo isn't the drug cardamine (rumor?!?)), liberty rogues, Golden Chrysantium (spelling...)).

if i'm right then the outcast don't know that their is some group flying with border world fighters with the name red hessian and/or bundschuh (spelling (again)...).

Actually, the Outcasts are enemies with the Red Hessians and the Bundschuh. Both use the Borderworlds fighters. In fact, the Bundschuh base is the only place you can buy the Stilletto, I think.

They fight in the sigma systems I think. And DragonBreath, Which station in Sigma-17?

Actually, I've never truly seen an Outcast-Corsair battle, but i'm pretty sure they occur. If I did see one, though, I'd fight with the Corsairs.

the corsairs and outcasts have some very common characteristics,
1. both are very powerful factions and have the best weapons
2. both are brothers
3. both hold a major hand in a major trade
(cardamine and artifiacts)

atka research station off the Cryer Pharmaceuticals .

CLASS: Tyrell
GRAVITY: Complete
DOCKING: Yes
AMENITIES: Yes
POPULATION: 200

The Atka Research Center was constructed by Cryer Pharmaceuticals to study the Alien Organisms commonly found in the Edge clouds. Cryer is intensely interested in the commercial applications of these Organisms because they have proven useful in several phases of terraforming. Cryer imports substantial quantities from the nearby Samura operation on Kurile.

their trying to make a drug in here that does the same as cardamine, so outcast will loose a lot off usefull information and territory when they know how to make this drug with chemicals, and can make it over in the normal house systems (like in manhattan), and after that they may can make drug with will stop the process and get them back to a normal being with doesn't need the stuff anymore...

corsair knows that outcast isn't happy with this, and outcast asked corsair to destroy that station.

The reason they fight, is because they are both out for themselves. The Outcasts hate everyone else because they think they are superior due to the cardimine on their world, whereas the Corsairs hate everyone because they need to plunder everything they can otherwise they'll starve.

Okay, this is what I got out of the game (seemingly). The Outcasts and Corsairs, when they met, they were friendly. Then Cryer built Atka. The Outcasts wanted to destroy Atka. Yet while in attacking Atka, they intruded on the Corsairs' territory. This got them pissed. So now they both end up fighting each other (and Cryer, who is stuck in the middle).

Plus, they're just general indiscriminate pirates, raiding whatever they come across

"There are 10 kinds of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't"

Post Sat Apr 10, 2004 11:20 am

@corsair, their both be stuck on 2 div worlds... corsair needs piracy to stay alive, half their polulation died in the first year after getting on that empty planet... outcast founded a better world, but are stuck on that planet due to the cardamine changes in their boddies...

they both know the histories off eachother also... so they talk with eachother in the past... they both know their stuck in the place they are, and can't do much as long as the others (houses, criminals) go further in technologie, this will lead that they fall back from the higher technoglogies they have now, and can be destroyed by a stupid act off themself...

i wonder a few things... how come that corsair don't know about nomads in their system next door (unknown), but know about the 2 planets and the jumphole... and also something stupid is that outcast know about the nomads but still see them as a sort off god and send ships off died pilots to that jumphole and let them all have their front to that jumphole... (rumors say enough for sometimes...)

I always thought they hated each other since each believed the other sabotaged the Hispania or something like that.
