If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Storage

Would be nice if you could have a place where you could place all the ships, weapons and so on that you do not use.

If at somepoint in the game you would be able to buy a base and place it somewhere in the Sirious system, and outfit it with weapons/turrets and **** like you do with your ships. Of course it would have to expensive.
Then you could have other ships come and trade, buy weapons and so on from you. Nice way to make money

The standard answer to this question is that what you suggest wouldn't be freelancing. If you could start your own base, then you'd be on your way to becoming a faction. I've never played X2: The Threat, but in that game you can own bases.

In multiplayer Freelancer, you can create multiple characters and equip each of them with different ships, etc. Some players have a "storage character" that holds extra weapons and commodities, this is usually parked at a base. So you can have the equivalent of your own base in MP.

I know

I've heard about X2. It looks really well, but after what i've read the AI is terrible, and the steering is unmanageable.

Maybe not a huge space base, but a small facility on a planet somewhere, with frequent rent payments or something, would be good. I think so anyway. And you could pay regular rent, rather than owning the place.

I hate X2, its more of a trading game than fighting game. Besides, I'll never get used to the lack of any sort of trade lane
