Anubis is still a very viable fighter for its level and even the few levels after. With 7 forward facing guns, it can deal quite a punch.

The Anubis is, in fact, a VHF. The term VHF refers to the number of weapons it has, not the weapon class- a VHF has 7 guns/turrets, a HF has 6 guns/turrets, a Freighter has 8 guns/turrets, and an LF has 3-5 guns/turrets. There are several possible combinations of guns/turets for each type, except for the VHF type, which only has one combination- 6 guns, 1 turret.

The Anubis, having 6 guns and 1 turret, is a VHF.

I don't know what you all say, but the anubis i the best ship you can get. 7 forward guns, nice order champion shield and it handles like a light heavy-fighter. Whoever flew it know what i am saying.

It is the most maneuverable VHF, that's for sure. Plus, you can't go wrong with something that's that inexpensive to purchase and outfit.

I'd say the Eagle handles better than an Anubis................

Is'nt the drake suppierior to the anubis?

I stayed with my Drake when I got the chance to buy the Anubis, but that's mostly becasue I realized the Anubis couldn't even dodge through the stones in the badlands at cruise speed. Which was extremely annoying, so I loaded the game and kept my Drake.

Yea eagle handles better than Anubis. Eh eagle handles just as well as the defender for that matter.

no, the eagle doesn't handle the same as the anubis. The anubis could wipe out a drake and dodge the rocks in the badlands. Who ever said that it it can't, I am sure you meant "I can't dodge rocks in the badlands."

Yeah, it's bad when you get people slagging off perfectly respectable fighters when it is their own performance that is letting them down. The Anubis is a very good VHF, even though statwise it performs worse than certain other VHF's. Fighting style should decide the ship you use, not stats. But I definitely agree that throughout the SP missions the Anubis should be bought ASAP. From then on, it's up to the individual to decide whether the Anubis is the best VHF, and keep it as their own opinion so that we don't get "Best Ship" threads popping up everywhere.

thanks but why buy a ship with lvl 6 guns when u can have an eagle, titan or sabre,although i found a mod that give u the thoth which is an upgraded anubis

Too many people play the game just to get the "best" ship they can, if that were the case, i wouldnt be playing the game now, i try out as many ships as i can. mess around in them all.
The anubis is a well good ship, very fun to have a laff.

The anubis has always been my favorite ship, but I was dissapointed when it didn't perform like the other VHFs like the Titan, Eagle, and Sabre. So naturally I modified it to perform on that level. Now it truly is the most advanced ship like the info card says
