LSF

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

However, you can get LSF missions on Manhattan after the storyline is completed.

also in mp u can get them...

That would suggest that they can use any government base in Liberty, so they wouldn't need their own base.
King was LSF, right? He used a Patriot. Juni didn't though... she used a modified Defender, one I've not seen anyone else use, Police, Navy or otherwise. Suggests to me that they can use pretty much any ship they can get their hands on, and even modify them to fit their needs. So in answer to the question, it looks like the LSF doesn't have any specific base or ship. Unless the prison station in Alaska is LSF, I can't remember. But you can't get at that after the campaign/in MP anyway, so it doesn't matter.

(Going way OT here)

BH jackson, this ITAC of yours, is that a one man operation?
is that specifically for one server or one clan, or is it supposed to be used by everyone playing a BH char?

Just interrested

You were gone?

Edit: Damn spelling.

they're more like the CIA than the FBI.

Reasons:
FBI are seen in public on a regular basis, but people don't know who they are
CIA are hardly ever seen in public (to the best of my knowledge)
LSF are a covert group of the Liberty Police involved i secret, undercover missions, like when they take out that freighter as you enter the California system

That freighter that they blew up was done by the Navy, not the LSF, though I'm sure they probably told them to.
"You will blow up that ship."
"I wil blow up that ship."
"And get me a bean burrito!"
"And get you a bean burrito."

So bascially they are the CIA/IM5 of Liberty.

Cheers

I thought FBI was national and CIA was international.
There's always the NSA...

Anyway, I'd call LSF FBI related

IF my memory serves me correct, here're the facts

FBI : Federal Bureu of Investigations. Mostly involved in criminal cases too 'big' for police to take over, like possible terrorist attack, hostage rescue or some God-Knows-What work. Those 'SWAT' people ARE police, and they ARE involved in building assaults and things, but most often it'll be FBI's Hostage Rescue Team. Part of 'Department of Justice'

CIA : Central Intelligence Agency. Your intelligence and counter-intelligence agency, as in, 'spywork' and 'anti-spywork'. Involved in black ops, mostly, typically assassinations, blackmail, espionage, sabotage, etc. propaganda inside U.S. or 'interviewing' some 'people' that the Agency could be interested in. Like terrorists, defectors or foreign intelligence officer. BUT, in Iraq, their paramilitary airdropped... Uniforms, shoes, medical supplies and food... Part of God-Knows-What.

NSA : National Security Agency. Involved with God-Knows-What things, but what I know involves encrypting and decrypting transmissions and files, whether they are domestic messages or intercepted ones. Most government hackers work here, and you can guess why . They are part of 'Department of Defence'

Thus, LSF IS a new name for CIA. All we know about CIA is their HQ, and I'm not going to say it in case those spooks come after me. Research it at your own will. I ain' risking my life.

I am the signature virus! Copy me into your signature so that I can take over the world! Moohahahee!

Yup, I think it's safe to say that LSF is an organisation of spies and secret agents. I'd be so bold as to suggest that Bretonia, Kusari and (almost certainly -- remember those Rheinland agents in the campaign?) Rheinland have their own versions that you just don't know about 'cause you never worked for them.

Whatever you want to use it for, lol, just a database from the perspective of a BH. Just lil' ol' me making it. Everything in there is accurate -- I took various notes while playing the game, it's just written with a creative licence -- like suggesting Bounty Hunters encountered Nomad ships when all that stuff in the storyline happened. No, it's not for a clan or server or anything like that, it just seemed like a good idea at the time.

I think the LSF is the CIA because I remember a rumor on Manhattan saying "an LSF black ops team was found dead..." They have black op teams and so does the CIA.

LSF had a ship..
if you follow the storyline, before they land at Buffalo Base to meet Walker..
King said to Juni "Juni, do you see this? LSF ship"..
and that ship is Lamda wings (under Walker command)..
and if you scan that ship..
its a highly modified ship ( Defender with level 6 gun and level 7 missile)..

about LSF..
if my memory not depleted by Cardamine because flying Sabre.. :p
"LSF is branch if Liberty Navy, to protect economy..." arghh !!!! i can't remember anymore...

'LSF ship' could just mean it has a unique LSF transponder signal; it doesn't necessarily mean it is a standard design for all LSF agents.

maybe..
but..

at that time..
the ship faction is Order ..
not LSF ..

Post Wed Mar 17, 2004 5:27 pm

To my knowledge, the Order don't use Defenders, modified or otherwise. So it's possible that they just never bothered to change the transponder signal.
