life of crime

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

life of crime

I want to be a pirate or smuggler but it is difficult when I complete the missions that Zuni gives me as I piss off all of the criminal factions, is there a way i can play and advance levels without doing the main missions?

You have to complete the main missions first if you want total freedom. But when you've finished, you're free to do whatever you want

If you want to start off doing whatever you want, you'll have to get FreeLancer Mod Manager and get the Open SP mod.

Not necessarily. You end the SP campaign in the green with the Blood Dragons. Work for them until you're -20 or better with the GC's. Work for them until -20 with the Outcasts. Working for the Outcasts helps you with lots of criminal factions. Any at -20 or better will give you jobs.

Basically, the only real way of being friends with all the criminals is to take on Bounty Hunters. All the criminals hate the Bounty Hunters, for good reason , so you'll be allied with them in no time. Sure, you'll have the Guild on your back -- but as a criminal, you probably ultimately would anyway.

wait until after you've finished the SP game to start your life of crime. When I did, i was lucky enough to find a neutral corsair base and i docked and bribed my way to the top. I saw the titan there for the first time and stayed on to work up the cash. If you're lucky like me, you can end up totally friendly with the Outcasts, Corsairs and Bounty Hunters at the same time. Makes Border world passage friendly and you can still take big payoff missions against the GMG. If you leave em alone long enough, people like the rouges and hessians will fall into line eventually. Just start with one faction at a time.
