Mission #9 Help Needed !!!

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Mission #9 Help Needed !!!

I am having major problems with Mission #9. I can not seem to destroy the shield generators on Tekagi's base without getting blown up. How do you get close enough to destroy them and survive. Also, what kind of firepower does it take. I pound away at them and hav yet to actually destry one. Do they all have to be shot out and once they are where do I go from there. As you can tell help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx Brian

If you can, buy torpedoes. I have always found that mission easy. Is it possible that you're hitting the forcefield instead of the generators? I have always found that the best thing you can do is o to about one meter away from the Generators and then pound away with everything you've got.

I'm making record time!
If only I had someplace to be...

Go directly to the generators. Don't engage anyone on the way. Kind of tuck yourself under them for protection from the battleship while your firing. Another option, if you have torpedoes is to take out the battleship first, but still don't engage on the way to it.

First You need a Fast ship with good armor.
Second You need Torpedos
Thrid Blow that BattleBoat
fourth Turn off yer speakers as most of the time the messages ozu sends you are false (he acted like all ships were gone when the first one blew)
5th Aim for those Crystals 6th if a enemy fighter attacks you afterburner.
6th same as 5

When the Going's get Tough, The Tough get a bigger Battleboat.

Can't see the problem.........just fly under the asteroid that Tekagi's Arch is built on, and then come up through the cylindrical hole in it to attack the shield generators.

Attack a shield generator, then dive back down into the hole for respite. Repeat till you've destroyed them all.

Also make sure you're in a dragon/drake/barracuda and have a level 6 graviton shield, and a full compliment of sheild batteries and nanobots............

Thanks to all who replied, I took out the Btlship first then the shield genertors were easy. A combination of missles and Torps did the trick. Would have liked to spend some time taking out the Fat man but, that's the way it goes. Things seem to speed up from here, I played for another hr and got to Mission #12. Bought myself an Anubis with all the Bells & Wistles. One thing that would be nice is a tactical map, once things get Hot & Heavy it's tough to know when you are slipping away from the center of the battle. Besides, I like to know where the heat is and where to run too : )

Loving the game ...

Cheers ....

I've always found that using the "a" and "d" strafe buttons are good to use when attacking stationary objects, like the stationary generators mentioned. Just get up close and strafe and fire. BEWARE, strafing takes up power, so use it sparingly.

Hmm I've gone up a rank. And people who say that helping newbies dosen't reap rewards....
