Best Equip for a Humback?

It all depends on wot sort of weapons your into (refire rate, damge etc...)
And where your trading because all the different areas have different shields

I'll weigh in again, having now made the Edge Worlds my primary base of operations.

The problem with the discussion, thus far, is that everyone is comparing the Dromedary (a vessel built to operate in the Edge Worlds, not the core systems: Rheinland, Liberty, Bretonia, Kusari) to the Humpback, which WAS built to operate in the core systems. Both vessels are constructed to operate in completely different environments. (Which is why I wonder why the vessel is sold at Mactan, not out here in the Edge Worlds.)

How many of you have been out to Tau-31 recently (besides the campaign mission, which briefly took you through the system)? Not only is a trade lane still under construction, but there's only 1 base, plus Outcasts everywhere you look. It's not a pretty picture, and to move cargo you need a large ship that can take a beating and fight back. The same pretty much applies to every other Edge World system: trade lanes are far apart and few in number (forget the intricate roadmap of the New York or New Berlin systems) ... you're on your own out here.

I think we can take a que from the fact that probably few of us, if any, have seen other Dromedary-class freighters in the core systems.

So Gambit, in response to your question of what equipment to mount on the Humpback, consider it wisely. Base it not on what looks good, but where you'll be operating. You may even want to consider buying a weapon or shield, then unmounting it from the hull for storage on board: that way you can be flexible and swap systems according to where you are and where you're going.

Something else I do is because i have a load of money , I buy weapons configurations and shields to match the list from above...this does take away cargo space but its worth it in my oppinion...u dont have to worry about anything after that
