It is a little bit past 800 AS, but it cannot be compared with the previous year system (AD) because the time between the Sleeper Ships launching and settlement is not known.

yeah, we tried to figure that one out once. But I lost track of the thread.

they said in the intro(at the begining) that it was the 23rd cent0ury. and at the end they said "but that was all 800 years ago" so i think it's the 31st century making it the year:3000

the 23rd century can be anywhere from 2201-2300 AD. With the 800 yrs later, it could even be somewhere around 3100 AD (what Nick said).
