The Backround of Trent... Friend or Foe?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Well that Racing dude in Dublin, (who's meant to be Irish but sounded like a Texan on a Brit warship crewed by Americans)

Called Trent a Bretonian, hmmmmm Ive lived in Britain all my life and ive yet to meet a fellow Limey who sounds like a Yank.

Producers skimping on the voice acting talent are we or just hoping that no one will notice....

LOL

Fellow Brit saying Trent is supposed to be from Leeds (so I play a Yorkshire idiot - GREAT! - I'm a Lancastrian for those who aren't quite sure).

As to his background I cannot anything other than with a name like Edison Trent he is more likely to be from Liberty than Bretonia - we tend to have names that sound borring (Patrick Carter, John Smith, David Jones etc.)

Let's see...he was from leeds, lost his parents, was raised by Tobias, took on most of Tobias' more annoying personality traits, left a hot girl for a few bucks that he never made, lived on the wrong side of the law for a bit pre-story, and managed to get 1,000,000 credits and his ship blown to hell by picking the wrong meeting place for his business transactions.

Bad decisions: The story of Trent's life.

"Although I do not consider myself a member of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, I find that their goals and mine often follow the same path. I will aid them when I can...if they give me a percentage of the salvage from whatever they frag along the way. But god help them if someone puts a bounty on THEIR heads, for I don't care who I hunt for, as long as their live capture(or untimely death) can get me enough credits to buy a decent sized mug of my favorite drink."- A Freelance Bounty Hunter.

Anub- damn, what IS the plural for that? Anubii? Anubises? Anubice?

Female monkey meats Boy monkey , they both get it together and 9 months past and out pops trent, trent moves to bret, and the story starts from there

Nice to get out of that stinking city of titan and have some room to move around in, anyone having a HardWaR?

Clamp, are you therefore insinuating that Trent is from Planet Primus (or is it Gammu - I can never remember)?

I still don't like playing a Yorkshireman (of sorts).

Why do the Bounty Hunters dislike trent at the start of the story

Post Wed Jan 14, 2004 9:03 am

Because they hate anyone who does anything illegal, and if you read his Neural net log you see that he makes a boron trade the isn't exactly legal...

Well that Racing dude in Dublin, (who's meant to be Irish but sounded like a Texan on a Brit warship crewed by Americans)

Actually Hovis is from Liberty not Bretonia so that's why he has a different accent.

Hovis? Yeah, I know him. He's undefeated in these races you know. In fact, that's all he does. He was exiled from Liberty for illegal gambling and for rigging a bomb on the bottom of a ship. The problem was that ship was racing him at the time and was piloted by a major senator's son. He's been here ever since. I'd watch my back around him. He's not exactly right, and as much as he loves to race, he loves winning even more -- if you get my meaning.

As for why Trent has an american sounding accent...dunno, stupid casting is probably the best answer.

I've recently started over the storyline, and after major purchasing on Leeds, I need $25 000 to level up. I'll be checking out the rumors, but here's what I have so far, just to confirm information:

EDIT: *Sigh* computers hate me. Too bad I'm gonna be a computer programmer.

......I know! I remember reading on the news about a collapsed mine or something like that. Maybe thats how his parents died?

Most likely. There's a lot of intertwining background story to Freelancer if you have the time to go find it all.
