planet malta-omnicron alpha system and maybe planet crete-omnicron gamma system. This is from memory so don't flame me if i'm wrong

they are only obtainable from 4 of the wrecks around the unknown jumphole in omicron alpha
the east side of the hole

@ gower np they are a pain to get hold of as unlike any other wep there is nothing you can buy that is close in stats , most busy servers there is a mad scramble after a reboot to get them

Anywhere that your rep is good enough with the faction that runs the base. Every base sells every kind of ammo providing you have the launcher, a high enough rep and the credits to buy it.

I got the ripper mine from a outcast wreck near the unknown jumphole in omicron alpha try to find the right ship(s) wich drop cargo then you get one and you'll get ammo with it

think of them more as a bomb than a mine and you will go for the ripper ie as point blank homing doesnt mean much

when i was a newb i thought ripper mines were mines that blow up from oversized amounts of methane

if i look at the stats off the ripper it says homing mine...

the wrecks contain also each 5 mines, so you have 20 mines with 4 launchers after taking them

i'm not that good in using mines, i use them mostly in a group off fighters or against bases... but still, i fly now mostly the dagger, with a good pking outload...

I found usuing mines is extremely dangeros on me and very expensive specialy when players who use alot of CDs makes the mines explode near my ship si I prefere using cheap good driller mines (I put auto drop usualy) and they do the there job well, I do not use swatter mines since they are slower from driller.
