VHF in one hour -- for you LF lovers

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

VHF in one hour -- for you LF lovers

I know that this is kinda obvious but for those of you who love flying the dagger but hate spending hours or even days getting a VHF, I present to you:
____________________________________________________________________

How to get a Very Heavy Fighter in an hour -- For you Light Fighter lovers:

Step One:
Pick a Multiplayer server of your choice. I highly recommend Elite or Freeport 3. Create a New Character and join the server.

Step Two:
Sell all your useless shield batteries and nanobots. Buy a Justice Mk III if you wish, but it is not necessary. Now launch from Manhattan, and don't skip the transition scene. It's kinda fun to watch one in a while.

Step Three:
Here you are, outside of Manhattan. Switch to your Loot filter on your radar. Select the furthest Storage Depot and fly towards it. Some of you might already know what I'm planning =).

Step Four:
Destroy one of the Cargo Containers and tractor in the loot. Then Press F1, click Select New Character ---> Select the same character. I know some of you disapprove of this method, but it is highly effective. Sell your cargo at Newark Station.

Step Five:
Repeat steps two and three for the 3 remaining cargo containers.

Step Six:
Buy the Dagger Light Fighter at Buffalo Base. Do some high-level missions until you can afford to buy a hard missile loadout (and maybe a pulse turret).

Step Seven:
Head to the Omicron Systems and start doing 100-400K missions. I suggest going through Rheinland and taking the jump hole in Frankfurt. You should do missions until you have about 1 000 000 credits.

Step Eight:
After a few very LONG missions, you will now have enough money to buy a Sabre, Eagle or Titan. Congratulations, as this has probably taken a LOT longer than an hour, it is still a very fast way to get a Very Heavy Fighter.

And there you have it, your very own Very Heavy Fighter. Have fun. Kill Bounty Hunters. Kill Nomads. Heck, kill anything and everything that moves. But keep in mind that your reputation is probably badly damaged and in need of repair, so killing Outcasts and Corsairs would be the quickest way to remedy that. Have fun, and drive safe =).

Next time read it more thoroughly...i only used it as a catchy title.
No mods though. I've seen 415K missions on unmodded servers.

Your answering the question wrong the Mission Reward is usually 150-245k then what ever you pick up so another 100-200k usually so totaling 300+. But if you mean 400k+ for the mission reward then yes it IS modded.

How is this "for you LF lovers"? If you love LF's, why would you want a VHF in one hour anyway?

Why not do it the old-fashioned way? Surely that is more fun

@NukeIt:
LF fliers gotta get a break sometime. The missions alone take up or over a half hour, and I don't think LF fliers wanna do half-hour missions the rest of their life. Just get a VHF and take out BHers in a few minutes.

@Pinger:
It's a catchy title. It made you come read it, didn't it? Of course this'll take longer than an hour.

You missed the whole point of using an LF in the first place...using a VHF to smack down hoardes of baddies in two shots each sort of defeats the purpose. Ahd then you have to trek halfway back across the sector to get your ship back, only to go right out there again.

I wrote this for people like me. I like using light fighters to outturn and outmaneuver the enemy, stay on their tail and shoot hoardes of missiles up their tailpipe. I don't like using Light Fighters all the time though, I enjoy using the Eagle for its maneuverability in combination with its massive weapons. I thought that this way was a good way to enjoy using a light fighter, but getting a very heavy fighter when I got bored and wanted it.

That was my intention when I wrote this.

Wrong. The middle depot contains Polymers, just beat feet over to Baltimore where you get $438 each.
The Hydrocarbon take to Detriot, dock, then return to Newark for $240 each.
The DSE depot is just water, better to go to Baltimore for H-Fuel Depot.
No need for the F1 lamer act at all. Everyone (usually) forgets you after you dock, isn't that lame enough?

And guys, you can have FIVE ships on a MP server, so why argue this HF/LF bit?
I get a Freighter (Drom), LF (Drake), HF (Cuda) and VHF (Eagle) in that order, and enjoy them all!

Edit: Well, the Cuda does become a Storage character after I get the Eagle, but my point doesn't change.
I fly FR, LF and VHF equally, each for their particular purposes.

The 5th slot I keep open for 'fun' ships!

I see your point but how does that make me wrong? It still works.
