all nomad weaps viable?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

all nomad weaps viable?

would a ship weapon setup of COMPLETELY nomad weapons be viable in player versus player combat?

how about in just doin missions/trading/pirating?

i think it would, because you could fire indefinately... they may not do the BEST damage available, but if you have 6 nomads doing about 400/800 sheild/hull damage, thats 2400/4800 sheild hull at NO energy... so you could even fire during long turns or when your opponent is making erratic, twisty evasion maneuvers. if you are firing all the time, you have a better chance of landing a hit. so you make more hits at reduced damage. what do you think?

It depends on a few factors: your maneuvrability skill, your opponents' aim, and the strength of his weapons (and of course a bit of luck). If he's got guns that can blow you away in just a few shots plus good aim, the longevity of your guns isn't going to be worth anything because he'll blow you up before he runs out of gun power. Only if you can keep him missing for awhile does your advantage actually come into play. I wouldn't consider it good for piracy, you want to move in, strike, and have your opponent dead before they can adequately respond.

depends on ship types and player skill.
Eg: A titan should go for 2 diamondbacks 2 TDCs and 2 krakens or wyrms
A Eagle could get away with nomads.
The titan will, due to lower turn rate, have his enemy in sight for shorter, thus more damage is needed.
A eagle on the other hand will be able to keep his opponent in sight longer and can get away with lesser damage nomad weps and indefinate fire.

well i think it would be good for pirating... i mean the NPC ships and transports dont have that much health and sheilds as compared to players.

and where do you get a ship that takes 6 l10 weps ?
also you need to take down shields and tdcs are the ones for that
then its about hull , thats the time to fire projectiles torps missiles and rippers
guns are not quick enough for a quick kill ! on guns alone you can be there all day

Oh, when he said pirating, I thought he meant pirating against other player traders, not NPC's. Yeah, for NPC's, Nomad guns are fine. One salvo probably takes out most npc transports in some areas.
