Don't fire when you have no lock in middle of combat:

You never know when something, wether enemy ship, torpedo, missile, mine, whatever is coming after you, and you'll need all the energy you can have

....or some person may fly into the attack, turning everyone hostile around you.

Neo_Kuja: Yeah, that sucks big time. I get almost blasted apart by friendly fire, but when I accidently hit them with my Adv. Stunpulse wich I mounted to give me a great advantage against multiple targets, they turn hostile.
