Advice of the Day

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Advice of the Day

When you're flying a mission for the Bounty Hunters Guild, fighting against 8 Corsair Titans, and the BHG has sent 8 Hammerheads to help you... accidentally hitting one of the Bounty Hunters with a Sunslayer is a very bad idea.

Second bit of advice: When you launch to fly a mission, the fastest way to get your ship started is to hit the T key to highlight the mission waypoint then F2. Immediately automatically starts turning toward the target and charging the cruise engine. (If any other players are nearby, the T might highlight them instead.)

i knew about the first... but not about the second...

doing 200k+ mission for outcast against hunters and do a bombing run with a sunsayer torp is a bad idea, especialy when ur shield is down

If u c some1 in a dagger make fireballs from hunters it can be me

when playing SP don't shoot King

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

Pueblo Station: "We expected them to come from the Silverton Asteroid Field, but they came from the Copperton Field and completely surprised us! The Liberty patrols were shot down like flies"

Williard Research Station: "Two more torpedoes have hit the Harmony, and our fighters are being shot down like flies!"

Hakkera Tsushinamade: "Lieutenant Ozu, we're being shot down like flies. You and Mr Trent have to make your run NOW!"

I wish Trent would say: "Flies are an intelligent animal with the shortest lifespan of any winged creature, they are very difficult to shoot down, and cannot breathe in space!"

When doing a lv40 mission against Bounty Hunters, it is optional to bring shield batteries and nanobots. The Bounty Hunters' destroyed ships will supply you with as much as you should need.

My advice : Don't fly into the sun by accident

Post Mon Nov 24, 2003 8:37 am

dont try to cut corners by trying to bisect twin suns hehhe in sigma 19/omnicron theta

Post Mon Nov 24, 2003 9:00 am

i do that all the time in sigma-17 by the route sigma-13 to omicron theta... u know the system with 3 stars...

just fly about 45% upward and then fly to the jumphole off theta... the auto-pilot will not go in the sun-corona...

My advice, after the storyline and without the 'Destroyable Universe' mod, do not take on capital ships, you'll be there forever.

"Flies are an intelligent animal with the shortest lifespan of any winged creature, they are very difficult to shoot down, and cannot breathe in space!"
Flies are instinctive animals, the Moon Moth, once in adult 'winged' stage has no mouth and dies of starvation really quick, Flies are easy to shoot down with the right tools, i.e. Mortein, and with a life support system I'm sure they can handle space.
Sorry, I studied Entomology once.

i have found that the best way to make lots of money is to at least get a good very heavy fighter (hammerhead will do, but i recomend eagle or titan, you should be friendly with the corsairs) then go to omega-41 and at the cartzet (something like that ) base, there are well paying missions there, and your usually fighting against sabers (the titan kicks their ass). the missions are pretty easy if you got a titan or and eagle (but the titans are better ). Good flying to you all!!

to the titan-lover Ryan100

1 the base in omega-41 has named Leon base
2 the missions r easy, their against hessian (their no worther flying pilots then hessians)
3 thus missions r doable in a patriot... (co'z hessians can't hit something)
4 and if they hit u, the damage is minimal, co'z the haven't good weaps
5 hessian - corsair ratio is what i readed somewhere (if i'm right omega-5) was 4 hessian ship against 1 corsair ship...
6 do this with outcast - corsair it's almost 1-1, the outcast r a little better then the corsair... had this from a men with had lost 4 wingmen with flew with titans in a fight against 3 outcast sabres
7 for thus mission for what u need a titan and i can do them in a drake (also 245k mission in omicron beta against GMG)

If u c some1 in a dagger make fireballs from hunters it can be me

Post Wed Nov 26, 2003 1:20 pm

i prefer to do the 245k missions in a banshee or if im doing torpedo runs etc. the valkyre. more maneuvarablilty than the others!

Post Wed Nov 26, 2003 9:39 pm

Banshee flies like a cow (well, for a Light Fighter anyways). Drake is probably the best combination (for light fighters) of Maneuverability and Firepower.
