What a totally S**T ending

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

There's a point at which you can no longer play cover-up...like, say, when the Rhineland fleet defeated Kusari's. It's virtually impossible to NOT notice an entire fleet getting blown to dust in your backyard. And also, throughout the SP game there were news stories about the whole thing- people may not have known everything, but they knew something.

"Although I do not consider myself a member of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, I find that their goals and mine often follow the same path. I will aid them when I can...if they give me a percentage of the salvage from whatever they frag along the way. But god help them if someone puts a bounty on THEIR heads, for I don't care who I hunt for, as long as their live capture(or untimely death) can get me enough credits to buy a decent sized mug of my favorite drink."- A Freelance Bounty Hunter.

Anub- damn, what IS the plural for that? Anubii? Anubises? Anubice?

Does anyone still know exactly what the idea with the hypergates was? They were like regular jumpgates, but they were able to transport you to systems much farther away, right? The amount of energy that such a gate would need was then drained from the Nomads, thereby destroying them? This is what I still remember. And if this is correct, then wouldn't it be weird that in a Dyson's Sphere, that was used to gather as much enrgy from a star as possible, the Nomads were sucked in?

Government (almost) never let us know on important things (obviously, but...)

For example, B-15 (I THINK!!!) Stealth Bomber or other first stealth bomber was created in Area-51 and was ready for use even before public knew it's being developed

No conspiracies please.

About the ending, it was unsatisfiyng. It leaves a lot of questions unanswered and gives you the fealing there must be more to the game. Unfortunately you wont do anymore storyline missions and when you realise that, all that's left is some kind of a hangover and it distroys some of the fun of the game. But not for that long though

In my opinion, everything after and including Orillion and the Osiris, sucked. I was looking forward to a good storyline since I played the demo, but I was really disappointed at the end.

is the demo go different story-line missions?

Post Wed Dec 03, 2003 10:11 pm

No, I don't think so.
The first missions hold a better storyline than the last missions. (in the full version)
The last misisons are also a bit confusing. You jump from one place to another across half the Sirius universe.
Furthermore the last plot devellopments are being rushed. They could have thrown in another 5 missions easily and still end exactly the same imho.
And if they rounded the ending better they would have had a game with about 20 missions instead of the current 13. Maybe more.

Truth is, the game was finnished in a great hurry and that's, quite shamefull, exactly the fealing you get after finishing the storyline a few times.

Still it's one of the most entertaining games I ever played. And that's quite an achievement concidering the above
Mostly thanks to the mods though.
