Do I have to scan the whole square in the grid (example: 5-f) to find the bloddy thing? Or is there an easier way?

rumours in bars, sometimes there on a patrol path on your map. Or you'll notice patrol paths avoiding a area, usually those area's have radiation and probably a wreck in the middle of it.

Luck is usually how I do it. Or if you're feeling unlucky use FL Datastorm.
