Tips From A Hunter

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Your Order of one Annubis will arrive on a plate .... haha corney

Actually, there are 5 seperate opportunities to purchase an Anubis, all of them in SP:

between missions 10 and 11

between missions 11 and 12

between missions 12 and 13

and twice during mission 13

Where those opportunities present themselves is pretty self-explanatory(you'll know when you get there)

By 'one oppertunity' I think they ment 'Only one place to get it and if you dont pick it up while you are able to you'll forever miss out', at least thats how I interpreted it, I'm usually wrong about these things.

@Kheiron, and now ur right (for the first time )

and the anubis is a good fighter... if u play it for the first time, then u go mostly for the heaviest fighter u can get at that moment... and then it is the anubis

my first route was
- starflier
- patriot
- defender (u can buy it before jumping the first time to colorado, but the most buy it after that mission, founded that the last time)
- bretonia heavy fighter (crusader i've i'm right)
- dragon
- anubis
and beated the game with lots off dieing, due to unexperimenting...

the second was only light fighters, the last time was starflier -> defender...

If you download Victor's 1.3 mod from the downloads section, you will be able to buy a refitted Anubis (9 weapon mounts) in addition to the Liberty Cruiser and Liberty Dreadnaught at Norfolk shipyard. The rest is for you to discover

The Bounty Hunter fighters are generally underrated. While they are not well armoured, they do offer in agility what the Corsairs offer in their ability to take punishment. I might not put much money on a Piranha vs. a Legionnaire, but even so the Bounty Hunters should not be taken lightly.

ok....

a anubis with 9 weaps... i had in rebelance the same... 8 guns, 2 turrets, 2 toprs...
i had that by rebelance 1.9b

but well.... i still like the normal game, so anubis with 6 guns, 1 turret and 1 torp is also a great weap

During my first crack at the game my ship list went,
Starflier
Patriot
Cavalier
Anubis

Second crack went,
Starflier
Defender
Dragon
Anubis

Third went,
Starflier
Slave 1, thanks to a lovely, if a little over powered, mod by Porshe

Ive completed the game twice, but my first combo was the best:

1) > Starflier
_ > Clydesdale
_ > Anubis

2) > Starflier
_ > Cavalier
_ > Falcon (from Kyoto)
_ > Anubis

I remember trying out that damn Startracker first time I played, I got it just before I was driven out of Liberty, got whooped as soon as I got out of dock, ending up loading an auto save and keeping the Starflier. Its amazing how those two little bits of metal added to the side screw the ship up so much.
