We're not sure if that rumor isn't just a drunken tale or not. In both intros, only 5 sleeperships are ever mentioned.

There were never any other sleepers besides the five that arrived in Sirius. There were NOT another three; that is a bar rumor from some drunken NPC 800 years later, and should be treated that way. If there had been another three, the intro would mention them.

but well... maybe they r drunk... and thus battles between faction has let his trail behind in serius sector... maybe the intro is wrong and also the rumors... we never will know... the only thing u know is that 5 ships who left sol came in serius and builded up a new civilization...

the only way to know how many sleeperships left sol is only known by going back to sol sector and look for evidence...

well... u know that ths un is destroyed.. u kno that earth was a free heaven... their where non sleeper ships wo where launched from earth...

look at the intro and u see 4 ship, all 4 where launched from a moon by jupiter...

maybe their where way more ships launched from sol, but r launched to other systems... it's unknown and stay unknown, co'z u know about a few... but sleepership project to serius was suppost to be secret... maybe they had way more off them... it's unknown and stay unknown, nothing to do about it...

so maybe in a next lancer game ur in a new system... new known sleeper ships who left an other planet, maybe their where launches from pluto, but to other sectors in space... maybe we will know, maybe not...

in omicron alpha (outcast system with malta), there is a wreck that is 78.3% chance of being the remains of the hispania. if you've heard the rumors, then you would know that the outcastsand the corsairs are apparently the only survivors of the hispania. the wreck is just south of the planet SE of malta
