stuck in mission 9

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

It helps to sort of tuck yourself under the generators for added protection too.

If i'm thinking of the right mission, come up through the center of the arch from the non battleship side. Take out as much as you can from the edge of the arch and the then full throttle and shoot the rest - above the battleship i've heard works as well.

If you throw enough mud ..some's gonna stick.

From memory I shot off a few of the arches turrets and then snuggled up close to take out the generators, you can also try doing strafing runs on them if you get shot up when still. I dont know how easy you would rate these tactics but they worked for me, at least on the 2nd and 3rd attempts

Keep reloading you mission until you reach the same point you are at now, but with more bots left. Get into the arch as quickly as possible and let your shield re-generate. Remember where you had to go on exiting, and head directly and as quickly as possible to fire on the ships on the other side. Each time you will get a little further along until you accomplish the task. Sometimes missions take a few tries and it may be necessary to execute a comand by Juni just BEFORE she is about to give it!

DONT USE TORPETIOS

You should have gotten a positron shield or a graviton shield to protect against those yellow neutronic weapons Kusari ships are armed iwth. Hell, the first time I played (I had a molecular shield... bad idea) I wasted ALL of my shield batteries AND nanos just to get one inch in front of the generator only to get blown up when i accidently collided into the arch with one health left...

One more thing. Anytime you destroy a ship, hit your "B" key to tractor in stuff, including nanos and shield batts.

this is such a hard level. i'm very frustrated with it. i hate these missions because if you dont have a certain shield, you'll get a pasting. It's so hectic and everyone seems to be going after me.

DO:
*Use the Battleship as cover. The battleship has a massive blind spot over its entire upper hull. Pulling in close to it can give you a much-needed break.
*Strafe when firing on generators. The more often you reverse your strafing direction, the less often you'll get hit.
*Wait as long as possible before using shield batteries. If you think you can pull back and let it recharge on its own, do so.
*Use nanos, and ONLY nanos, as soon as you take damage. Unlike shield batteries, they won't be gone after 2-3 heals.
*Kill any fighters that get above the battleship. Those are the ones that might be problematic.

DO NOT:
*Follow the recommendation to approach from below the base. By going through the large tunnel, you will actually take a bit of radiation damage, which is totally unnecessary.
*Spend a lot of time dogfighting. The faster you get into the arch, the better.
