The "other" countries

Just wondering why the other countries like canada did'nt get in a sleeper ship.
-1. I seriosly doubt that canada joined the coalition.
-2. And they couldn't have joined the Liberty sleeper ship because there are no planets in any of the liberty systems called" New Ontario".
( Concerning number two: mabey the game designers just thought that New Newfoundland sounded too weird. )

Other countries or continents that don't get reconised:
-The whole continent of brazil and of africa never get mentioned.
-What ever happened to australia?

Anyway, sorry if the answers really obvious and that I overlooked it( I didn't pay much attention to the starlancer storyline).

Yeah Im from Canada and if anyone says EH that i'll send my rabid drunk pet beaver over ther to gnaw your house down.

Umm...Brizil isn't a contentent. It's a country. It's in the contenent of South America.

As for why Canada isn't included, maybe it was non-aligned. Maybe it was absorbed by the States in the comming years.

We'll probaly never know.

Im pretty sure that the hisSPANIA came from the area around spain. But im not sure how that became a super power, mabey they had a second inquisition or something.

Perhaps the Alliance gained/lost some member nations after SL. They had a full century to do it in.

Cummon people, this game was written in the USA!

They had to keep things simple, and only use countries that most Americans had heard of !! Ok, they left out Israel because they're too much of a political hot potato.

Hold on, maybe they didn't, they're the Nomads !!!!!!!!!!!

Alliance- North America, West Europe, presumably South America and Australia too
Coalition- Asia inc. Russia (except Japan) and presumably Africa too

In Starlancer the French and Italians were defeated just before the campaign began. Australia would probably be overrun as its stuck on its own away from the others. This leaves the UK (bretonia), Germany (Rheinland), US and maybe Canada despite them not having any systems (Liberty), Japan (Kusari) and Spain and Latin America (Hispanic- Hispania)

Canada is a pretty insignificant country to have its own Sleeper Ship... Then again, so is Spain, though.
