Can you sell escape pods?

I'm aware that there are several missions that you have to tractor in an escape pod...after reading the topic about the "secret government files" I'm wondering if you could sell the escape pod for anything? Has anyone tried this? I know it would mean failing a mission for someone...and probably less money if you could sell it, but who knows. If anyone's tried it, let me know!

Thanks a lot! I wasn't trying to do it to cheat, I just wanted to see if it was a bug/hole in the game. I appreciate the info, though!

I never thought you could... the Rebalance mod allows you to tractor in pirate escape pods and sell them for up to $10,000 at bases

Sometimes the glass is half full, other times its half empty. Usually its just twice as big as it really needs to be
