It's not really the Outcasts fault for being hooked on Cardamine. They landed on the planet and realised too late that the very air was saturated with the drug. Understandably annoyed by this, they decieded to take revenge on the rest of the Sirius system by exposing them to this drug, Cardamine. (Which is incidentally the reason why they wear those breathers. Not to get high, but to survive.) According to the Outcasts, they will have a quarter of the Sirius sustem hooked by 810AS. While there is no actual hatred between the Corsairs and the Outcasts, they are the two most skillful pirate groups in the Sirius system. The Corsairs ate a quarter of their own race to survive. Weirdos.

By the way, the Titan does, in fact, fly like a cow.

Cardamine rules!!

*Sigh* Firstly I fully agree about the Outcasts getting hooked on Cardamine. They just got really unlucky.
But you don't go about trying to screw the rest of the human race into a hole once you are addicted (though I admit the Corsairs don't so mind the fact they are getting their revenge by conquering).

As for the Outcasts getting the sector hooked, look up. Atka will change all that.

Finally, the Ventru line gave themselves up to save others. That is why they are honored, they put others above themselves so that they could save their race.

On one hand, there's the Outcasts...they have their fingers in just about every house, and have some powerful allies. And they've managed somehow to make the problem plaguing them everyone else's problem as well...that takes some serious work. But...They'd be much better served if they'd PUT ALL THAT CASH THEY MADE OFF OF CARDAMINE INTO FINDING A STINKING CURE FOR IT.

On the other hand, the Corsairs...tough, resilient, and proud. They've come up with a number of interesting little tricks..."Keel-hauling", for example(That is, hooking some poor bastard to the back of your ship and towing them through a slipgate). However, they'd probably be much better off if they had ASKED FOR SOME HELP INSTEAD OF BLASTING THE FIRST EXPLORATION SHIP THAT CAME NEAR THEM.

In other words, they both suck. THey could have become houses #'s 5 and 6 if they had taken their heads out of their rears long enough to realize how much influence they had. Oh well, more money for the bounty hunters...

You may be expecting me to take your head off for saying what you said about the Corsairs. I won't. The fact is you are absolutely right. The Corsairs were on a planet on which they completely didn't want to be, they went through some hard times that we really can't imagine, and they adapted. A bit too much. All that time barely surviving and just being completely screwed over does something to your head. They saw the exploration ship, and they made the wrong choice. Period.

Look at the texture for the Nomad gate then look at a Titan. Same skins.
