Actually I think that can be explained too. There's another news report somewhere in the independant worlds saying the corsairs and outcasts have now instinctive or deep seated hatred for each other, their rivalry is merely over territory

There was a thread a while ago about this. Basically a corsair ran off with an outcast. In the omicrons theres plenty of rumours about it with people who had a part in it.

a Corsair didn't run off with an Outcast, it was a Zoner that she fell in love with.

And there is a who series of rumers dealing with it. It's pretty kool accually.

the war between corsair and outcast is findable in sigma-17...

go to the only base in their (base, not planet) and find out what they wanna research...

that station is in corsair territory, but the station is researching a drug what have the same effects as cardamine... so outcast don't rule with their cardamine anymore...

ps. it's not an outcast or corsair base... (who it is i forgotten, but i don't care anymore)

before that where outcast and corsair a little friendly to eachother...

(at a junkers base a corsair pair and a outcast pair had sex on the table... at an other they joke around, in the sigma systems they attack eachother...)

give a look at the "friendship" of outcast, liberty rogues, lane hackers, golden chraisintuims (or something GC anyway)...

outcast rules the other with cardamine transports, they all needs cardamine right now... liberty rogues need outcast for their cardamine, but outcast don't needs rogues... lane hackers needs outcast cardamine, outcast needs lane hackers informations about trade lanes, so they give them cardamine till they needs it allways... gc is the way to get into kusari...

junkers have 2 ways to get cardamine:
1 - steal it from others.
2 - if a outcast land on their base and sell cedamine.

You can meet him in the bar on freeport 10 in tau 37 (outcast territory), he traveled half of sirrus to get there! (who could blame him, outcast territory would be the best place to hide from a corsair)

before the station was there they where neutral/friendly to eachother...

the other is off territory (outcast in the northern sector and corsair in southern) but corsair will attack hessian from the northern.
