How can you have the countermeasure auto-fire without activating it in such a way that it drops them when you shoot your guns?

You can't, so bind a key to it. Switch it off when you're not planning to use the cruise engine.

Why are people so worried about using too many CM's? Even the advanced ones can be refilled for chump change! Don't be afraid to litter the whole area with them when you have a lock warning!

"Although I do not consider myself a member of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, I find that their goals and mine often follow the same path. I will aid them when I can...if they give me a percentage of the salvage from whatever they frag along the way. Hell, they were even so kind as to sell me a ship after one of my jobs with them, and I've been flying her ever since. But god help them if someone puts a bounty on THEIR heads, for I don't care who I hunt for, as long as their live capture(or untimely death) can get me enough credits to buy a decent sized mug of my favorite drink."- A Freelance Bounty Hunter.

I wouldn't say chump change, although they are cheap. But if one can escape without them (or the misiles used are silly javelins or sumps) why have the expense?

Your sig there, Warlord Bob...does your textbook include the "and therefore, doesn't exist" or is that something you added yourself? I'm just trying to figure out which one doesn't understand the meaning of "unique", lol.

I'd say the worry about using too many countermeasures is because you could run out of them when a Sunstalker is bearing down on you or whatever.

@striker - I must admit, it is a technicality. If points included in the graph of the function are the only points that exist then the limit represents a non-existant point in the graph... wich is exactly what its suposed to do. It just sounded funny the way they said it.

lol never thought about it that way, I thought the remark was just trying to say "unique" = "doesn't exist"; that's awesome! Yeah, that's the math geek side of me, lol.
