Information on the Osiris

Now, Im not asking for any info on the Osiris but Im using this forum to express my ideas.

Battle Ship: Osiris
Primary Weapons: FM Bombardment Cannon x2
Secondary Weapons: Battle Ship Flak Cannons x4
Auxiliary Weapons: Missle Flak Launchers x2

The Battle Ship codenamed Osiris was originally created in the shipyards of the Alaska System, a system completly locked off from the rest of Sirius. The Osiris was the first prototype vessel of its nature to be created, utillising all the military secrets of Liberty mounted on one ship.

There are two theorys concerning the cloaking capabilities; either the sytem uses modified Nomad technology or the power systems needed to power it have been significantly miniturized to create the power requied. Nether the less the system has so far worked flawlessly and complete invisibility has been achived and maintained.

Also, this ship includes various other modifications such as: Hardened Hull panels, Improved Comms, Highly Efficent Power Sytems, Radiation Protection, Upgraded Secure Chanels, Larger Storage Capacity, Improved Repair Facilitys and other numerous modificaions to Ship Systems, Conditions and capabillites.

When Orillian descovered to Nomad threat he gathered his most trusted colleges and together persuaded the crew to form The Order. Then Orillian captured a number of secret Liberty fighters, commendered the Osiris and left Alaska for Omicron Minor where he and the Order created a base on planet Toledo.
Then the Osiris would contribute a major part in the Orders plans. The Osiris showed its use with the attack on Admiral Shultkzy with the cruiser carrying the Admiral destroyed and six Order fighters penetrating the Manhatten defense grid undetected until the cruiser was destroyed. Then Orillian used it a hidden base of operations to eliminate the Nomads anywere in the colonies but although it was effective the Osiris was reterned to Toledo were it would wait until they rediscovered the location of Trent and the artifact.

The Osiris is also credited with a number of cruiser kills, as its opponents crumble in the face of its supreme firepower. Thus the Osiris has proved itself as the ultimate in Battle Ship design, and remains in the hands of the Order, waiting of the time of reckoning when the Nomads return....

Current Location: Unknown, possible locations include: Toledo, Omicron Minor, Nomad Dyson Sphere, Omicron Major.

Please criticise to your hearts content.

The Osiris was not around during the attack on Shultzki, or at least, no one talks about it. In fact, much later, I'm not sure but I beleve after mission 3, I hear rumors about a battleship being stolen. Could that be the osiris?
After all, Shultzki came to Liberty to "Plant a seed" in Jacobi. That's the first time Liberty came in contact with Nomads and the Order was founded after certain Liberty officials were infected.
Also, those Liberty officials started to act strange after Shultzki was killed.

So, the Osiris came after the Order was founded, but I don't know if they had Toledo before or after they captured the Osiris.

In my view they had to have the Osiris otherwise they would never have broken through undetected

Hmmm...

Schultzki was assassinated by the Order, therefore the Order must already have existed at that time.

Also I belive that Toledo was first created before the game but with the capture of the Osiris they sped up operations tenfold and dug in even deeper. And how else would the Order fighters get that close to Manhatten without being detected until they lauched there torps?

And for lords sake that is not an escort! Two lousy Valkyries? I wouldve had at least six!

The reason you cant get cloaks is the fact that their a secret Rhineland development, their nomad in origin and most have already been destroyed.

SOME GUNBOATS! TAKE THE WHOLE DAMNED RHINELAND FLEET!!!!
Or just go in something a little less obvious like a Dagger or Starflier.

Actually there were three, really. You can see a third when you see the Donau for the first time, it's very close to Manhattan

And ofcourse the Order excisted before the atack on Shultzki (completely forgot ), but someone took down the defense grid around Manhattan, acording to seveal rumors. The Osiris didn't help them. If it did, I haven't found a clue about that.

guys how about you go and watch the original intro in the downloads section the order has been around since before the clony ships got to land. it was founded by a young admiral that witnessed the destruction of sol by the nomads and survived to warn the colonies and was ignored so he formed the order

"man, malys you got lay off the twinkies" -last words of a draconian

Get with the program! That was the SCRAPPED intro! It holds no duristiction over Freelancer or these forums! Oringinal or no what was in the game is what you get! And that is Orillian founded the Order when his superiors were taken by the Nomads.

So stop it with this intro crap, and go and smoke some Cardamine, then come back when youve got something to say......

IIRC, when Orillion chats with Trent on the Osiris hangar he says something like that he escaped aboard the Osiris (presumably 'liberating' it in the process) when the Nomads tried to take him over after getting his superior. I do not remember him saying anything about founding the Order, but it was quite a while ago when I watched this cutscene ... (I am using T-Hawk's mod CampaignCutscenesDisabled)

Also, on Kyoto Hakkera told Trent something like 'About two months ago, a Rheinland expedition to an uncharted planet found ... something.' and that the Order was founded to protect the Colonies from the Nomads. Presumably the Rheinland expedition was the first contact of the Colonies with the Nomads, and the Order must have been founded after the expedition - less than two months ago.

It clearly says in most cutscenes that Orillian was the founder of the Order. Also when the Rhinelanders found the artifacts it was about a month before game time, other wise Syd could never have stolen the artifact from Pygar, and as a result Freeport 7 would still be in one peice!

Oh and once someone said that Freeport 7 was in a story created system. Thats crap its in the same one as Planet Kurile! And I should know!

The Rheinland expedition that unleashed the Nomads is not necessarily related to the work of Sinclair and Quintaine (and it was Sinclair who found the story artifact on Pygar). It is difficult to relate the time sequences.

And could you point out one of the cutscenes where it is said that Orillion founded the Order, preferrably one that indicates that this happened after he went AWOL with the Osiris?

Killzone, as I reiterate repeatadly, the FP7 that is in the opening cutscene is in a different system (observe the lack of nebula behind the stars and dust cloud off to the side). Storyline-wise FP7 was in Sigma 17 but the cutscene was not done there.

One thing puzzles me. If the Rheinlanders unleashed the nomads about month before the start of the game, how did that give Orillion enough time to realize they were there, found the order, build a significant army with its own ship design, build a base and steal the Osiris before they meet up with Trent.
