The only lvl 8 graviton shield that can be bought is expensive as you have to buy the Titan to get it, as the Titan is fitted with it so costs you 700k

Darn and its only lvl 8. How about Molecular is there a lvl 10 one? I have seen lvl 9

molecular only go to l9
there is only 1 level 10 shield the brigantine (positron)
i think thats what you want to know

Positron shields go from level 1 to level 10, but are wrecked by shield killers like no other shield.
Molucular shields go from level 1 to level 9.
Gravitron shields go from level 1 to level 8, but they're basically as strong as a level 9 molecular/positron shield, and protect you against shield killers the best. You have to buy a Titan to get the level 8 shield (Advanced Protector), though. If you don't like the Titan, trade it while keeping the shield

weakness/strength effect is +/-20%, can anyone confirm this?

In that case, in regards to Pulse fire (Which EVERYONE in MP has):

Graviton (Strong) Protector lvl 7 @ 4303 becomes effectively 6479
Graviton (Strong) Adv. Protector (Titan) lvl 8 @ 5890 becomes effectively 7068

Molecular (Neutral) Adv. Bulwark lvl 8 is 4420
Molecular (Neutral) Barrier lvl 9 is 6050

Positron (Weak) Brigandine lvl 9 @ 6050 becomes effectively 4840
Positron (Weak) Adv. Brigandine lvl 10 @ 8280 becomes effectively 6624

So, unless you feel like paying for the Titan,
($658k + $118k shield, but what's the Titan trade in value?)
You are better off with Adv. Brigandine for Eagle and Sabre, but Hammerhead is a problem.

Im trying to find out what the most popular weapons used are so that I can pick the right shields to protect against them.

If the gravitron shield on the Titan is the best to buy then I can pay the 750k for it.

What are would the most popular weapon types used?

my advice is if your gonna buy a titan, keep it... yes, as Nickless has said many times before, it flies like a cow, but your not gonna find a tougher ship, and really, it takes a skilled pilot to fly a titan anyway, to many people depend on their super-eagle to do the job without using there skills as a pilot don't get cocky, fly a titan
